Mr. Eranna Vitthal Ganla , popularly known as Baapusaheb Ganla is a well know businessman a former Congressman & very well-known politician , is one of the most respectable personalities in Indian business & political circle who needs no introduction .
Standing as the most Iconic figure at the age of 80 , Baapu still continues to inspire many young sportsman & entrepreneurs. Holding all time record to his name Baapu was elected continuously for 30 years & took the office six times a Vice President at Poona Cantonment Board, this till date is a unbroken record across India in all cantonments. Baapu was also elected as the chairman more than 3 times was President at Cantonment Co Operative Bank. Even today Baapu is a young sportsman at heart & he held the chair at various district & national sports bodies such as Cricket , Football, Hockey , Cycling , Swimming , Athletics , Body Building , Power Lifting and many more . Baapus contribution Indian Bodybuilding association & International Body Building association is simply remarkable , even today he is the most respectable iconic figure & continues to inspire many young weight lifters & bodybuilders. Without Baapu’s vision for future, his sincere efforts,management skills , dedicated efforts & never ending support many of these associations , banks & offices he held ; won’t have been achieved these milestones that they have done today. Baapu was the main driving force behind Bodybuilding competitions held at Pune Festival’s which today is a much awaited event of the year in India. We feel truly blessed to have started our events journey under the guidance of this living legend & he continues to be our guiding star & gives us never ending inspiration & courage.
The Opinion
Cricket is truly the gentleman’s sport . It’s not only just a game in India it’s a religion worshipped in every house across the country . Every player who wishes to play this great game should get opportunity and exposure irrespective of age , sex and socioeconomic background . If we start nursing and grooming our young budding cricketers at a very early age Indian Cricket will have a very bright future . India a great country with huge potential and talent waiting to be explored , GMM T20 is our sincere and honest effort
